2021 YONEX Australian Bendigo Invitational & Victorian Open
3 – 6 December 2021
Badminton Australia is delighted to announce the Australian Bendigo Invitational. The event replaces the Bendigo International Challenge that is not able to run due to Australian border restrictions. We are delighted to be able to bring this replacement event to provide opportunities for Australian athletes to participate in a national competition.
The results from this event will assist national selectors select athlete to the Badminton Australia national senior program that is a prerequisite to being selected into Australian national teams.
Chief Executive Officer for Badminton Australia Jamie Parsons said ‘We are delighted to be able to partner with the City of Greater Bendigo and the Bendigo Eaglehawk Badminton Association to bring this national event to Bendigo. We are looking forward to seeing Australia’s best players and Australian Tokyo Olympians competing’.
The tournament offers $10,000 in prize money and is open to any registered badminton player in Australia, Oceania or other countries, subject to COVID-19 travel requirements.
