Four Oceania countries are represented at the BWF World Junior Mixed Team Championships 2023, the largest entry from the Oceania region to date. The full event which includes a team and individuals competition runs from Monday 25 September to Sunday 8 October in Spokane, USA.
This is the first time that the Cook Islands have played in a competition outside of the Oceania region. The journey for this team is a result of a well structured and implemented player development plan with many of the players in the team starting off in the Shuttle Time programme. Tahiti is playing in the team competition for the second time, 2022 was their debut finishing 35th which they will be looking to improve on this year, bringing together young players who are based in both Tahiti and France. New Zealand are returning to this event, having last participated in 2019 in Kazan, Russia with Australia looking to improve on their 19th placing in the 2022 Championships in Spain.
Oceania Champions Australia have been drawn into Group A which includes top seeds China and defending champions South Korea. Group D has teams from four continents while Group G includes both New Zealand and Tahiti
