Last week four players and one coach from Tahiti took part in Badminton New Zealand’s Junior High Performance Camp. They joined a team of coaches, U19 and U15 players for the annual 8 day camp held at Napier’s Pettigrew Green Arena.
The schedule invovled on court sessions including multi-feeding, category training in each discipline, individual sessions, technical footwork, and feedback from World Junior Championships 2015. There were also external speakers delivering planning, sport psychology, motivational, body weight and a cultural ‘haka’ session.
The Tahitian team were also put through their paces with a series of testing.
