Biography:
When I was younger, I had participated in a Japanese sport called Kendo. Everyday after practice, they would provide badminton rackets and plastic shuttles for us to play. I would mostly win the games and repetitively play the same people. This got me into badminton thinking I was only going to play for fun, but the “just for fun” part ended up being traveling around Oceania to compete. I have never thought that this would turn into something more bigger then I imagined. Going back to when I first started to play badminton was in 6th grade interscholastics. Going into this competition and going against all the different schools in Saipan made me scared but excited to show what I can do with this sport. I ended up winning the middle school and high school competition. After that, I started taking badminton more seriously, committing to this amazing sport. I’m very honored and happy to represent this island and now it led me to being an oceania player.
Interesting Fact:
I speak Japanese fluently. I play other sports like volleyball, tennis, and golf. I like to go out and enjoy the beautiful weather here in Saipan.
