BWF and the organisers of the BARFOOT & THOMPSON BWF World Junior Championships 2020 can confirm that the Championships, which was rescheduled from October 2020 to January 2021, have been cancelled.
The ongoing COVID-19 restrictions and uncertainty around this, left BWF and Badminton New Zealand no choice but to cancel the Championships.
With the host for the next edition already in place for later in 2021, and the uncertainty of the COVID-19 situation expected to stretch into next year, postponement was not an option.
