As the second stage begins for teams at the BWF World Junior Mixed Team Championships, each win or loss can make a big difference to final placings.
Tahiti and Australia both had 3-1 wins against Lithuania and Iceland respectively. As the tournament is now into stage two, ties conclude once a team reaches three matches won. Cook Islands are still hunting for their first win in Spokane and will be trying their best to secure it. New Zealand pushed hard against Slovenia with the tie only being decided in the final match that went to three games, falling in Slovenia’s favour and securing the win.
Each team will play one tie on day four; New Zealand face Belguim, Australia meet Austria, Tahiti come up against Ghana and Cook Islands take on Lithuania. Each team will be looking to consolidate their current standings and not wanting to relinquish any places.
