Biography:
It all began in the summer of 2022 when my dad, a badminton enthusiast, took me to the newly opened local badminton gym and introduced me to the sport. As I learned the basics of the game, from serving to court movement, my skills improved over time, and my passion for badminton grew. Recognizing my progress, my dad enrolled me in formal training. My dedication paid off when I was selected to represent Guam in the 2023 U15 Badminton Oceania tournament, and again in 2024 for the U17 tournament. These experiences not only allowed me to compete internationally but also helped me make lasting friendships. Today, as I look back on the first day I stepped foot at the badminton gym, I am excited for the future as I continue to hone my skills and pursue my dream of becoming a professional badminton athlete.
Interesting Fact:
One interesting fact about me is that I have a skill for balancing multiple interests and commitments. Despite my rigorous badminton training schedule, I also maintain a spot in the National Honor Society, participate in other sports, and play the cello in my school orchestra. Juggling these different activities has taught me valuable time management, helping me excel both on and off the court.
