Biography:
I was first introduced to badminton by my parents, following my dad to all of his coaching sessions and tournaments. I would always cheer for him as he competed on many international stages. As I grew older, my hobbies diversified from music (piano, guitar, drums) to other sports such as swimming and martial arts, yet badminton stayed prominent in my busy life. I started to take badminton more seriously at age 7, winning my first title, U11 boys’ singles, at age 9. I continued to juggle my education, training and travelling, and enjoy the challenge and drive that all of us athletes endure, to pursue the best we can in our careers.
Interesting Fact:
I am of Indonesian descent. I am an ex-national swimmer (freestyle and backstroke) and 400m runner. Gym is a space where I can destress and I like to play videogames.
