With support from the Badminton World Federation and Badminton Oceania, four players from Badminton Australia and four from Badminton New Zealand have recently attended a 10-day training camp at the Banthongyord Badminton School in Thailand. The training consisted of twice daily sessions alongside a number of international players including current men’s singles World Champion Kunlavut Vitidsarn (THA).
With this Badminton Oceania Tier 1 Player Development Programme finishing, the players set their focus towards competing at the BAT YONEX Pathumthani Junior International Series 2023. Starting on Tuesday 5 December, the u19 aged players from the Oceania region will compete alongside players from around the world in this multi age group tournament (u13, u15, u17, u19) which features a total of 792 entries.
