Falcons Prepare to Soar at TotalEnergies BWF Sudirman Cup
The VICTOR Oceania Mixed Team Champions will compete in the most contentious group in at the competition in Xiamen, China, in April.

The New Zealand Badminton Open 2020 (a HSBC BWF World Tour Super 300 event) has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament was the first of Olympic qualification events in 2019.
This year’s edition was postponed and rescheduled to a later date in the year in the hope that measures would have been implemented to allow events in the COVID-19 era. However, New Zealand continues to extend it’s border closures and Auckland (host city of the tournament) is currently in its second lockdown.
This event was originally rescheduled from October 2020 to January 2021. However, the BWF can confirm that this tournament has been cancelled. The ongoing COVID-19 restrictions and uncertainty around this, left BWF and Badminton New Zealand no choice but to cancel the Championships.

In light of the developing COVID-19 outbreak and recent ‘Pandemic’ prescribed by the World Health Organisation, Badminton Oceania and Badminton Cook Islands have decided to postpone the international sporting event; Oceania Masters in Paradise – 21-26 June in Rarotonga, Cook Islands.
