Badminton Oceania was delighted to receive nominations from New Zealand, Tahiti, Fiji and Australia for the Athletes’ Commission. The Executive Board have ratified the four players as members of the inaugural Badminton Oceania Athletes’ Commission, including:
- Gronya Somerville, Australia
- Susannah Leydon-Davis, New Zealand
- Leo Cucuel, Tahiti
- Danielle Whiteside, Fiji
Gronya Somerville has been appointed as the chair this Commission, where the main aim is to provide a voice for the players and give constructive feedback to Badminton Oceania on behalf of players.
We look forward to our first meeting with the players which takes place at the VICTOR Oceania Badminton championships 2019 in Melbourne from 11 to 17 February.
