Australia’s Caitlin Dransfield and New Zealand’s Corrie Keith Robinson are celebrating success in both Singles and Mixed Doubles. The pair joined forces in the Mixed Doubles SL 3 – SU 5 and topped their table after winning all matches in two games. They both went on to dominate their respective SL 3 and SL 4 categories in a similar fashion – winning all their matches in two games.
“It’s been a great couple of days for me and I’m stoked to go home with two Gold medals. Corrie and I have played as a pair for a while now and we work really well together and singles is one of my strongest games at the minute.” – says Caitlin
“It’s a nice feeling to be flying home with medals in my hand and a great way to end the year. It’s been a successful week for me and I look forward to competing in more tournaments throughout 2019!” – says Corrie.
In the Singles SS 6 classification, local player Luke Missen is celebrating a Gold medal in front of a home crowd after storming to the top of his table, winning both games in two matches. Fellow compatriot, Kobie Donovan, will be taking the silver medal home while Fijian athlete, Iosefo Rakesa secrued the bronze medal.
“It was good to have a new face in the competition, coming from Fiji… My performance has been OK, but I know there’s a lot I still need to work on to compete with the rest of the world.” – says Luke.
