Biography:
I was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at the age of 3 months. Growing up, my parents didn’t treat me any differently to my 3 sisters. whilst i didn’t grow up around other people with disabilities, I was always very sporty and was pushed into a lot of different sports especially in high school with the full support of one specific PE teacher. I found badminton after finishing high school, was looking for something that was reasonably accessible via public transport from home. I’d gone to a few come and try’s with Paralympics Australia, but found badminton on my own. They were starting Para-Badminton at MSAC on Saturdays. I went along one day and haven’t looked back. The journey since has been a roller coaster. Started playing internationally in 2017, have been to 3 coming to 4 World championships, and been to so many international events i have now lost count. I’ve learnt so much about myself along the way and have so much support from both friends and family, along with coaches and other players, i wouldn’t have it any other way.
Interesting Fact:
I am a twin and my two older sisters are twins
