The Seeding list for the VICTOR Oceania Junior Championships 2025 is now available. With 111 entries, we are set for excitement in Saipan from 12-15 June.
Men’s Singles
Fresh off his Sudirman Cup campaign, Australian Shrey Dhand comes into the VICTOR Oceania Junior Championships as the favourite in the men’s singles. He will face stiff competition from his fellow compatriots, with Zhi-Ron Tan, Landon Kurniawan, and Jayden Lim filling out the top four seed positions.
Across the Pacific, Kaiyin Mataio (COK), Allan Zeng (GUM), and Billy Li (NZL) also will look to upset the Australians for the title.
Local star, Marlon Bautista (NMP) comes in at 6th seed. With the hometown support, could he be pushed to glory?

Women’s Singles
It’s a trans-Tasman domination in the women’s singles seeds this year. Australian Victoria Tjonadi is the number one seed. She was a semi-finalist at the VICTOR Oceania Championships in February, only falling to eventual winner, Shaunna Li. However, it won’t be an easy path to victory for her. Another New South Wales athlete, Faye Huo, is riding high after a runner-up finish at the YONEX Australian National Individual Championships last month.
Kiwi Josephine Zhao is also prepared to make an impact in Saipan. The 16-year-old was a member of the New Zealand team at the VICTOR Oceania Championships earlier this year and gained invaluable experience in her first senior squad.
The young Australian, Mimi Ngo rounds out the top four seeds. She secured the silver medal at VOC2025 in North Harbour in February in the women’s doubles alongside Maureen Clarissa Wijaya.

Jayden Lim and Wey Shawn Ng are the second pair of Australians on the seeding list. Wey Shawn’s last international tournament was YONEX Bendigo International 2024 and no doubt has continued to develop since that strong showing.
