The expansion of Badminton World Federation’s ‘i am badminton’ integrity campaign has gone from strength to strength during the COVID-19 pandemic with 31 new regional and national ambassadors onboarded across nine languages. This follows the unveiling of a new batch of global ambassadors last April.
The emphasis has been on raising awareness through digital activations and motivating the Continental Confederations (CCs) and Member Associations (MAs) to support the campaign and appoint their own regional and national ambassadors.
Among the new able bodied and Para athlete ambassador cohort is three-time world champion Carolina Marin. “It is really important for Spanish badminton and me to have joined this initiative. We must show our respect and love for this sport and defend it against the threats of doping and corruption,” she said.

Through the ambassador programme, BWF aims to encourage players to be active participants in shaping the integrity of the sport.
