Badminton New Zealand held a Shuttle Time Conference on Friday 2 December, followed by Coaching Conference over the weekend 3-4 December hosted by Wellington Badminton. This was attended by 35 delegates from 12 associations as well as visitors from Australia and Tonga.
The Shuttle Time Conference was delivered by Badminton New Zealand Programme Manager Shuttle Time Coordinator Donna Trow and Badminton Oceania Development Manager Nadia Bleaken, covering areas of: reflections of the Shuttle Time programme so far, clarifying roles & expectations, sharing best practice, school and club settings, importance of reporting and planning for 2017.
The Coaching Conference had a number of presenters over the weekend including Badminton New Zealand CEO Joe Hitchcock, Programme Manager Donna Trow, Badminton Oceania Coaching & Performance Manager Robbie Thackham, BNZ Performance Coaches Robbie, Brent Millar and Sandra Lynch, Massey University’s Dennis Slade and Lions Strength & Conditioning Coach James Dickie.
