Biography:
I started badminton when I was around 9 years old and growing up in Fiji, badminton wasn’t widely recognized sport. Everyone knew each other. Started attending as a junior taking lessons 9-10am every Saturday then soon moved on to advances 10am 12pm. At that time everyone knew who the top players were in the country, none other than the national team. I was still a junior and I wanted to become better than them, so I really made the effort to push myself during trainings and as time went on I found myself alongside the national team and competing in big international competitions. Up until today I’m glad for the experiences I’ve had and also a great opportunity to travel, see new places and meet new people. Also a great learning experience and being exposed to such a high level of badminton really has brought a lot of great lessons.

Off the court, I work full time as a pastry chef in New Zealand 👨🍳
