The seeding report and draw have been released for the ROKETTO Sydney International 2025.
The tournament will be played in the Harbour City between 8-12 October at the Roketto Badminton Centre in Lidcombe, as part of our October BWF Grade 3 International circuit.
With several of the top ranked players continuing from this week’s MAXX North Harbour International, we will see many familiar faces at the top of the seeding lists.
MEN’S SINGLES
Number one seed is once again Wang Po-Wei (TPE). He is joined again by the other top seeds from the MAXX North Harbour International 2025:

WOMEN’S SINGLES
All of the top Chinese Taipei players from this week’s competition in Auckland are returning to the court in Sydney, however a former BWF junior world number one disrupts the ranking list. Tasnim Mir (IND) is returning to Australia hoping to go better than her quarterfinal finish in the competition last year. The 20-year-old sits at second in the seeding list.

MEN’S DOUBLES
Chinese Taipei’s Lin Yu Chieh/Chen Zhi Ray are atop the seeding list, ranked #40 in the world. Fellow Chinese Taipei pairs, Chang Ko-Chi/Po Li-Wei, and Su Ching Heng/Wu Guan Xun take second and third spots.
Singapore’s Eng Keat Wesley Koh/Junsuke Kubo round out the top four, coming into form after their recent campaign at the TotalEnergies BWF World Championships.

WOMEN’S DOUBLES
Lee Chih Chen/Lin Yen Yu (TPE) return to Sydney looking to take the title after their runner-up finish last year. However, they will be challenged by the Falcon duo of Angela Yu/Gronya Somerville, who have found their footing in their new partnership to rise to a top #30 global ranking.
Chen Su Yu/Yi En Hsieh (TPE), who notably are strong forces in the women’s singles division, are also among the top seeds.
