Five New Zealand Coaches: Peter Jensen, Robbie Thackham, Brent Miller, Fanny Megahwati and Tracey Hallam, have achieved their BWF Level II qualification and the BWF Level I Tutor qualification, following an intensive week of training in Kuala Lumpur
Since completing the course Robbie Thackham has been appointed as the Badminton Oceania Coaching and Development Manager, where he will be responsible for Coach Education, Player Development and Para Badminton.
These coaches are now qualified to deliver BWF Level I courses with the aim being to increase the skills of our coaches throughout the region through more people completing the Level I course, which is held over two weekends with 2-3 months between each weekend.
Congratulations to these Coaches; this is a fantastic result as we know you are all working very actively with the young up and coming players in NZ and throughout the Oceania region
