TOKYO 2020 PARALYMPIC GAMES 

New dates: 24 August – 5 September 2021

Previously scheduled to take place in August/September 2020, the event was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Para badminton will be part of the Paralympic programme for the first time ever in the Games of the XXXII Olympiad.

AUSTRALIAN BADMINTON OPEN 2021

Badminton Oceania is excited to welcome the world’s best players back to Sydney at this HSBC BWF World Tour Super 300 tournament following the cancellation of last year’s edition, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

An Se Young made history here in 2019 – winning her first HSBC BWF World Tour Title in Auckland, aged 17 at the time. Will more history be made a this HSBC World Tour Super 300 tournament in 2021?

VICTOR OCEANIA CHAMPIONSHIPS 2021

15 – 21 February 2021

Including the Junior Mixed Team Championships, Open Mixed Team Championships (15-17 Feb) and the Junior Individual Championships, Open Individual Championships (18-21 Feb). 

The Continental Championships will return to North Harbour, New Zealand, bringing together the region’s top open and junior players. The Open Mixed Team Championships will act as the qualifying event for the TOTAL BWF Sudirman Cup 2021.

World Junior Championships 2019

BARFOOT & THOMPSON BWF WORLD JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS 2020

New dates: 11 – 24 January 2021

The world’s greatest junior players will descend on New Zealand, as the country was awarded the hosting rights for the 2020 BWF World Junior Championships. Previously scheduled to take place in September/October 2020, the event was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes the Junior Mixed Team Championships (11-16 Jan) and Junior Individual Championships (18-24 Jan).
